We have successfully managed the careers of over 500 Consultants in the last year. These Consultants fall under various IT Technical and Functional categories like ERP, CRM, Web Technologies, Open Systems, and Mainframes, etc. These resources, our own class of "Brand Ambassadors", were placed across the country. By virtue of being a niche-player in the IT Technical Consulting services business for almost a decade, we are able to attract & retain exceptional quality & volume of technical talent.

 

Over 12 years in IT Consulting has provided a very stable platform for the organization's metamorphosis from an almost pure-play IT HR service provider to the next level in value services, viz. End User Services. The global meltdown provided the ideal conditions for the realization of a concept that was initiated almost 2 years ahead of the meltdown. End User Services encompasses not just the Technical Resource but also the responsibility for ensuring the end-delivery of a technical service. The cost layers between the end customer and the service provider are naturally stripped away, providing the ideal value-for-money solution to the end customer, where the HR service provider also becomes the technical service provider. "Services", at the core are after all a "People Business"!

The Customer Relationship Management system focuses on identifying business needs of our customer that are yet to surface and innovating new solutions/services around these yet-to-be-realized needs. This helps to keep us constantly ahead of our peers and provides the all-important market differentiator to our vertical. Our systems follow a thorough analysis of customer needs to enable the identification of each organization's unique challenges and opportunities.

 

In the natural progression of our relationships, we also function as the extended HR arm of IT companies to ensure overall employee management. Our foray into direct delivery services viz. EUS, has also positioned us as the Technical Delivery arm of our customer, with HR and Technology providing the ideal combination for viable, cost optimized solutions delivery. Our branded service offerings viz. TechSource, TechSearch, TechServ and TechSoft, primarily cater to two sets of audience - aspiring candidates/consultants and IT/ consulting companies.

 

IT Consultancy Services
 

We provide IT Consulting services to our Customers, wherein companies outsource their requirement for technical consultants/consultancy, working in specific technical domains, in whole or part. We participate in the delivery of our customer projects through our consulting employees. Once the project/assignment is complete, the consulting team is systematically redeployed to new projects at the same or other Customer sites depending upon their technical competency and Customer needs. This service also allows for the value-added 'contract-to-hire' facility wherein our customers access technical consultants for their projects and may absorb those on need. For the Consultants, this translates into consistent project/career opportunities befitting their profile, career continuity and general stability.

Our core differentiation lies in the comprehensive IT Technical Consultancy and Human Capital Management (HCM) services, with offerings ranging from technical/professional consulting in IT, onsite project management, mentoring on performance and personnel management, customized orientation and training, pre-employment screening, to conflict resolution services. Our unique HR process engages each Technical Consultant as a FFI employee. This is effectively managed by having a distinct and specialized HR arm, the Business Continuity Services (BCS) for our Consultant-employee.

 
Flavors of TechSource
 

Time & Material (T & M) - This is the most popular of our suite of technical service offerings. Under this offering, we provide IT Technical consulting services on our Customer projects, on mutually agreed terms. Depending on our Customer's need and the project, the terms are based on either person-hours or person-month spent.

Time & Material to Turn Key - In this offering, the Customer can first experience the technical capabilities of our Consultant(s) w.r.t capability, under a T & M contract. Once the proof of concept is established with regard to our performance, the project may be signed off to us on a turnkey basis. 

TechSource is further divided into 2 categories:


General Skills: - These are technologies that are not industry or vertical specific but more developmental building blocks.

Enterprise Systems are large-scale organizational systems (people, processes and IT) built around packaged Enterprise System Software. ERP (Enterprise resource planning) represents an expanded effort to integrate standardized record keeping that will permit information sharing among different areas of an organization in order to manage the system more effectively.

In its endeavor to grow up our services and customer value-chain, FFI has positioned itself through a dedicated team, viz. the Enterprise Systems Group, to address specific high profile consulting engagements (customer & consultant-wise).

    BCS is an offering originated as a marketing strategy to innovate FFI HRM as a specialized service to the identified "career management" opportunities.

    As a career management service offered to the FFI consulting employees, BCS enables business (revenue & customer base) enhancement by extending and leveraging optimally the productive life cycle & profile of its consultants.

    BCS brings operational efficiency to the TechSource offering by reducing the attrition/resignation rate of the existing consultants and increasing business scope by extension of the engagement periods.

    BCS offers increased value to the business as a whole, in that it addresses the following:

    1.  Consultants - Career management and continuous employment though sustained and
         planned project engagement
    2.  TSo Recruitment - Consultants recruitment made easy, since they engage with FFI for
         career opportunities andself-development, not just "contractual" assignments
    3.  Clients - Provision of having collapsible and just-in-time technical teams managed by
         FFI, thus optimizing on cost,project management and HR challenges
    4.  Organization - Change in the brand image from just a recruiter/contractor to a
         Consulting partner/ Technical Service provider.

    The impact of the BCS initiative was tangible right from its introduction, especially at the consultant level as the attrition rate fell to 2.28% (FY'09) from the earlier 3.0% (FY'08). The BCS team structure has been designed to ensure proximity to the consultants, customers and the market. The in-person visits to project sites and customer locations at planned intervals by the BCS personnel ensures that FFI can harness the business opportunities in long-run which is a result of increased customer and consultant engagement, requirements/additions and revenue. The impact on business and the organization is expected to be particularly visible within the next 2 years. This service offering will go on to be the service differentiator in the market in vis a vis our competitors/peers.

There are no unnecessary overheads or lengthy processes, only quality just-in-time service as per your recruitment needs. Our domain and vertical focus in IT ensures good understanding of your needs, reliability and quick turnaround.

    TechSearch, at its very basic level, is a pure search and place service to our Customer. At Focus, this basic service is delivered with a difference. The difference is one that has to be experienced than something that can be simply explained. Our role as the extended HR arm of our clientele ensures that the gap between the Consultant and the prospective employer is effectively bridged. For our Consultant, our value is that of an unbiased counselor or Career Manager, supporting and guiding career decisions. For our Customer, we perform as their "extended HR-arm", coordinating and supporting the entire hiring-cycle, enabling the distribution of the hiring challenges of the industry.

    It is our on-going endeavor to provide tangible, real-time value and maintain consistency to the proclamation in our purpose statement (definition of purpose).

    FFI believes in proactively designing new products/services before the business opportunity presents itself. Service innovation as an on-going process in which the entire organization is always watchful of changes and the opportunities that may/expected to arise on account of these changes. Hence, the strategy is mostly conceived on perceived opportunity rather than an existing need. This also ensures that our competitive advantage is preserved, refreshed and is consistently value adding to the CRM process. The new offerings arise out of a scientific and systematic marketing process by adhering to our identified and set standards/process-flow.

    In the last FY, FFI was successful in establishing an interactive process progressing from customer mapping to the maturation of the same to pursue as new service innovations/offerings.

    The organization's business mandate for BCS is to offer this service as a line extension of our basic TechSource brand. Thus, EUS is positioned as a new service offering under TechServ brand.

    EUS is an offering that has evolved from our core capabilities in IT HR Consulting & Recruitment (TSo/TSr) and our innate ability to deliver Technology-as-a-Service (TAS).

    This offering is a Managed Solution (TechServ) encompassing flavors from the TechSource, TechSearch and TechSoft brands. FFI devised a vertical focus approach in the FY'09 as a strategy to reduce dependency on any one large client. The strategy enables FFI to focus on future trends and not to thrive on the business movement of a single client.

    EUS was introduced as a service offering by the estimation of the growing market potential in the Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) space and to grow in our value chain with our existing customers - from a Just-in-time Resourcing Partner to TAS Delivery Partner.
